Vector dropped big news that they are moving towards a deflationary tokenomic model by suspending bonding discounts and reducing VEC staking rewards. With its $12mm treasury, the project will be putting these funds to work to generate real yield for svETH and sVEC holders.

After a brief period of it being so over, it feels like we may indeed be back again. ETH bounced from the lows of $3,200 to $3,500 currently following some noise around SEC efforts to classify it as a security. Meanwhile Coinbase Derivatives filed with the CFTC to list DOGE futures. In the DEX world, all attention was on BASE memes today. In the past 6 hours however, some of the major memes on the chain BRETT, NORMIE and BRIUN all dropped 10-30%.

You can see this rotation via TG degen trading volumes, where BASE had its highest ever day at $54mm, which was 5x higher than any prior peak. SOL volumes were still very strong at $206mm, which were down 69% from their highs on March 18th. ETH feels like a ghost town comparatively, with just $17mm of daily volume.

BASE had a very active day in terms of new launches, including ElonRWA, PEN and BOJAK being some of the most popular with smart money. And we saw one of the biggest presale rugs thus far on sGOAT on FTM. SOL presales are also still going on, with one of the more notable (or shilled) launches today being LOOM, which ran to a $10mm market cap (currently at $5.6mm). Smart money activity on SOL was quite muted, with notable buys in ZYN, TRUMP, YOURAI and LOOM.

On the EVM side of the market, there were quite a few coins that performed very well throughout the day including RING, OCW and YIELD, the new gaming project on Blast. Each of these were up 65%+ over the past 24 hours. Other notable pockets of strength were seen in boden, BOBO, kekec, BVM, ONDO and DEGEN, all of which were up 40%+. We also saw ETH DePin new launch LAN perform well, tapping a $7mm peak, while new launch SIMP hit a $50mm market cap peak.

NORMIE, doginme, BRIUN and CIRCLE are smart money favorites on BASE as measured by total $ holdings. And notably BRIUN and BLOO have seen the sharpest accumulation trends over the past 7 days.

WHAT TO WATCH TODAY

• Base New Launches - BOJAK, ElonRWA and PEN were some of the stronger BASE launches today on high volume and if BASE attention continues these should be monitored

• Crypto Valleys - This has doubled since we mentioned it yesterday. Is this Defi Kingdoms 2.0?

• DEGEN - is hitting ATHs as the market has gotten excited about the “onchain tik tok” thesis around the coin and the Drakula app

• ETH Utility Tokens - Despite overall less TG bot trading volume, there was a lot of strength in ETH utility projects including:

  • OCW +73%

  • RING +71%

  • AMO +60%

  • ASTX +50%

  • BVM +46%

  • ONDO +42%

    • We also saw DePin tokens rally (potentially following the TGE of Fluence), with OPSEC +39%, BLENDR +38% and ARCX +22%

• GB - Grand, the RWA project on base hit ATH today

• SIMP - this new token standard or “new Pandora” launched today with a lot of attention, and is worth keeping an eye on

• Fluence - this DePin project launched their token today, currently trading at a ~$700mm FDV

• DEAI - Zero1’s token is breaking out to ATHs at a $229mm FDV following their recent launch
