A Coin Picker’s Market

It feels like we’re observing strength in idiosyncratic coins, rather than full on metas taking place. AI obviously remains the strongest category, especially after NVDA’s earnings, but even coins within this group have been all over the place, with OLAS +15%, MND -8%, wBAI -14%, PALM -14% and AGRS +8%.

A lot of new launches today, with the most notable being:

• Carbon Crates - a RWA 404 trading at a $1.4mm market cap

• OCH - which is a liquid staking and money market project, backed by the OraiChain team. The project is trading at a $28mm market cap on $5.5mm of volume

• ANT - Not entirely sure what this thing does, but have seen it discussed in a few TG groups

• XMAIL - there is both ETH & SOL versions of this, after rumors of Gmail shutting down and Elon tweeting that they are working on Xmail

• SHEB - this was launched from the SHIB deployer and we’ve seen smart money take interest in the token

From a smart money perspective, the most notable accumulation trends have been seen in the following coins:

• COMAI (+31% 1d)

• ALEPH (+799% 30d / 23% 7d)

• MOG (+121% 30d / +29% 7d)

• GLQ (+123% 7d)

• TRESTLE (+110% 7d)

• XRT (+62% 7d)

• RSTK (+50% 7d)

ONDO and MOBY were hitting ATHs today, WcDonalds traded down 65% from its high, the PLT relaunch has seen the token fall 42% over the last 24hr, and UEFN jumped 161%.

Degen volume was a bit quiet today, down 28% vs. yesterday at $38mm total. ETH degen trading is still running 2x higher than SOL

Solana degen volume is now down ~78% from its Christmas peak.

While daily ETH degen volume is up 7x from the Christmas bottom, and has maintained ~$25mm or more of daily volume for essentially every day in February.

WHAT TO WATCH TODAY

• GPU - DePIN project gaining momentum today, with its price up 119% over the last 24hr on $1.4mm of volume.

• PIXIE REALM - Another hyped 404 launch, that was supposed to happen today.

• LUNAR - TG and web based casino project that migrated its token to LUNAR today. The project is trading at a $3.4mm market cap and has paid out 220e worth of Jackpots.

• XMAIL - The Solana version seems to be the favorite here, trading at a $600k market cap. With attention on Gmail rumors and Elon tweeting about developing X Mail, this meme could catch on like GROK

• 1 ONDO = 1 CONDO - ONDO’s price reached an ATH today and was a volume leader on ETH

• MOBY - another ATH, and looking like its going higher. This launchpad project has a lot of quality tokens launching soon.

• New Launches: ANT, SHEB, OCH and CARB

• 404 Comeback - Both PANDORA and ASTX grinding upwards, with ASTX stronger up 31% today.

• SHUTTER LBP - In case you missed it, this MEV project has an ongoing LBP

• We already mentioned the coins with abnormal smart money accumulation (COMAI, ALEPH, MOG, GLQ, TRESTLE, XRT, RSTK)

• Notable buyside flows were seen in RNDR, SPELL, PNG (avax), SHEB and ALEPH

• Net outflows were seen in PAAL ($609k), OCH ($289k), TRESTLE ($70k) and BAI ($69k).

• We saw an uptick in new launch activity today, with smart money buying heavily into CARB, OCH and ANT, though SHEB and XMAIL had much stronger retention

• Today’s trader highlight is an Early Mover, who has a total PnL of $270k. They printed big wins in MUBI, BANANA, ENQAI and VDO. But wow, look at current holdings of $241k of ENQAI and $131k of NMT

They established most of their ENQAI position around the beginning of 2024 (when prices were a lot lower).

On NMT, they acquired $180k worth of the token in the past week at an average cost of ~$3.72.
