Memecoin March Madness

Memecoins are dominating DEX volumes and mindshare, with WIF hitting $1bn+ ATHs, DOGE is pumping, MOG hitting ATHs and plenty of others moving up too. With DOGE moving ~40% in a few days and with retail coming back (CB app store ranking has jumped to like 140), memes likely continue their attention season for a bit.

Outside of memes, AI is likely to dominate narrative/attention flows, especially with TAO quietly re-tapping ATHs today. Smart money favorites within the AI theme include NMT (hitting ATHs), OLAS, ENQAI and MND. Also newer launch TAS bounced 5x of the lows back to $5.5mm and has retained smart $ interest.

Blast unofficially launched yesterday morning (via the ability to send funds to a contract to bridge over) and officially launched in the afternoon. The first meme was BCAT, which rose to a $10mm+ ATH and is now down ~90% with the dev perpetually selling. Current volume leaders on Blast are all memes, including MIA, PUMP, FINGER and BAJA. Look for more of the established/hyped projects to start launching their coins next week.

On ETH, we’ve seen smart money interest in a lot of new shiny coins, including SCALE a DePin aggregator, MONAI, an AI project on Monad and EEFI, a yield/ponzi project that just wrapped up its LBP.

Looking over at degen volume trends, yesterday saw very strong ETH daily volumes at $40mm vs. SOL at $21mm. Today things have been much more quiet with Blast fully in play: ETH volumes have been just $9mm vs. SOL at $6mm.

• Memes - WIF hitting ATHs at $1.2bn, PEPE tapping ATHs again. DOG is worth paying attention to within this category

• AI Resurgence - AI coins were taking a breather the past 2 weeks, but with TAO quietly running it back to ATHs today, expect to see some momentum flow back towards AI coins

• ZYN also cruising to ATHs today

• TAS bouncing 5x off the lows to $5mm

• BRETT on Base hitting ATHs

• BLAST - Currently a PvP minefield, but think that changes next week

• SCALE - new launch SCALE hitting ATHs after announcing a partnership with Helium

• CIRCLE on base hitting ATHs as well

• MONAI - a lot of attention on this AI x Monad project post LBP, hitting over $10mm in volume so far.
