BTC Slips On (Fake?) Tether Fud

BTC (and basically everything else) was down on the day following a supposed US government Tether investigation (which may be fake). BTC was down 2%, ETH down 3% and SOL was down 6%. All of the top 100 were down on the day, with the biggest laggards seen in W, TIA, APT and AR.

BTC dominance nearly tapped 60%, its highest since March of 2021. While MOODENG got a Binance listing, and swiftly tripled. GOAT, APE and MOODENG are now perp coin mindshare leaders.

In the onchain world, most memes traded down on the day. Though we are seeing a resurgence in non AI memes following the big move in MOODENG (with some AI memes also doing well). Onchain outperformers on the day included:

High onchain mindshare tokens to watch at the moment are Project89, WMM, WORM, YOUISM and MemesAI.

DEX bot volumes (looking at Photon in particular) showing a pretty clear top yesterday (-44% comparably today). This may be a sign that onchain conditions peaked out for now and things are going to get tougher for a bit (which we are seeing in most coins).
